The Swinging Restaurant

Our very first night in Prague, we were walking between Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square when we saw this restaurant that had outside tables that you could swing in. We all looked at each other right away and swore we'd come back at some point for dinner. So, last night was the night we made it back!

The place is SO obviously a tourist trap! We expected it to be overpriced and not necessarily one of the best meals we've had-- and yes, it was all of that-- but it was also hands down the most entertaining meals we've had in Prague yet! There was somewhat of a doorman at the entrance of the restaurant, dressed as an executioner. It started out with him just holding up fake axes and pretending he would take us out, but eventually turned into him putting both Aly and Karen in the stocks. Karen wasnt allowed out until one of us solved one of those metal horseshoe puzzle contraptions-- Katherine saved the day! You definitely had to be there, and I'm not sure any of you will nearly appreciate this as much as we had, but it was so hilarious that I was crying at one point!

Sitting on the swing, so many people just stopped and stared at us-- much like I'm sure we had done on our first night in Prague. During the whole stock episode, people even started video taping . . . And with a EuroCup game being shown live right down the road, so many drunk people came by completely perplexed by the swinging table. That's when we realised why the doorman was really there-- sitting in those seats puts so much attention on you and he was there to keep them away, especially all the drunk people who came up and tried to start pushing our table back and forth . . .

Regardless of all of that though, it was such a fun dinner!
