Tagging the Lennon Wall

Today I went and tagged the Lennon wall with Katherine! We had been talking about it for weeks and I had really meant to spend some more time thinking about what I was going to make, but I was walking to Katherine's when I realized that I had no idea what I was doing . . . Katherine had bought red and white spray paint, so I knew I was working with those colors but had no idea beyond that. In the end I decided to do a swirly red background with the word "Believe" in white over it. More than slightly cliche, but totally appropriate for the wall. Katherine tagged a cross with the words "be free".

It came out better than I expected! I also hadn't meant for it to be so big-- I accidentally covered up a quote of someone else's that I had liked . . . I had intended to print my letters, because my cursive is generally horrible, but when I was actually tagging, I was feeling the cursive and just went for it! I was surprisingly happy with that too!

Probably the best part of all of this, was the number of people who took photos by my tag after I did it! Yeah, I think I did an okay job, but compared to some of the other things on the wall, my tag is nothing! One guy by us said something to me out loud about all the people taking photos by my tag and then the lady currently posing was like, "oh, I can say I met the artist!" It was just really funny, but also nice, because I am really not that artistic . . . It definitely made the experience that more memorable!

Also, side note to anyone who doesn't know, tagging on the Lennon wall is completely legal in Prague!
